On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (GMT+4), the Fighting Pokémon Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee will appear more frequently in the wild. During the event period, you’ll earn double the amount of candies for transferring Pokémon. With a stroke of luck, you might encounter shiny Hitmonchan or shiny Hitmonlee.
Spotlight Hour: May 14th
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (GMT+4), the Psychic Pokémon Abra will have increased spawns in the wild. Evolving Pokémon during the event will yield double the experience points.
Our PvE tip: Seize the opportunity to capture Abra if you’re in need of a potent Psychic-type Pokémon. Alakazam’s evolution boasts formidable capabilities. With some luck, you may even encounter shiny Abra.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (GMT+4), the Psychic-type Pokémon Meditite will appear more frequently in the wild. You’ll earn double the amount of stardust for capturing Pokémon during this time.
Our Tip: Activate a Star Piece to maximize your gains! With a bit of fortune, you may encounter shiny Meditite.
Spotlight Hour: May 28th
On Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (GMT+4), the Poison Pokémon Swalot will be more prevalent in the wild. Catching Pokémon will grant you double the experience points. Our suggestion: Utilize a Lucky Egg before embarking on your Pokémon-catching spree to optimize your experience point gains.
Our PvP Tip: In the Super League, Swalot’s evolution, Gastrodon, stands out as one of the few poison Pokémon at the forefront. Thanks to Gastrodon’s unique Poison and Water type combination, it boasts resistances to a total of eight types. Shiny Swalot is currently unavailable in Pokémon Go.

During a Spotlight Hour, although a Pokémon appears more frequently, its base shiny rate remains unchanged. However, the increased appearances enhance your chances of encountering a shiny Pokémon. Therefore, if you’re on the hunt for shinies, be prepared to invest some effort.
