The Blizzard Entertainment announced a druid change for WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery. This announcement got a strong reaction from the community.
Season of Discovery in WoW Classic changes many traditional aspects of the game. It alters talents, abilities, and classes in unexpected ways. For example, Druids have an aura that lessens the effects of Wild Strikes and the Shaman’s Windfury Totem within 20 meters.
Some players thought this aura made druids too powerful. Despite the feedback, the developers decided to make the aura even stronger.
Druid’s Windfury Aura Now Applies to Entire Raid
Community Manager Kaivax announced in an official post that the druid’s aura will now cover a 100-meter raid-wide area. This change will take effect on August 21, 2024, during the weekly maintenance for WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery.
Kaivax also mentioned that the tooltip will still show the aura as limited to the player’s group for now. The developers plan to update the tooltip in the next major WoW Classic patch.
This news has excited many in the WoW Classic community, but some players have voiced concerns. Some fans worry that the Druid’s bear form could become too powerful in future Season of Discovery raids.
