The latest hotfixes for WoW: The War Within bring updates to the Healingfall Fishing Festival and include nerfs to the Battlerage Drums.
The developers of WoW: The War Within are actively working on a variety of hotfixes. After making adjustments for mages, changes to dungeons and raids, and additional boss nerfs in the Palace of the Nerub’ar raid, they are now focusing on world events like the Hallowfall Fishing Derby.
The hotfixes from September 27 also address several bugs, including fixes for depths, dungeons, raid bosses, and a priest ability.

Classes
Priest
- Void Leech no longer interrupts eating or drinking.
Delves
- Fixed an issue where the Fungal Footpads could make you jump backwards.
- Fungal Footpads now heal based on a percentage of your maximum health. The tooltip will be updated in a future patch.
Dungeons and Raids
The Stonevault
- Chi Burst can no longer pull enemies through the walls before killing EDNA.
Nerub-ar Palace
- Rasha’nan: Fixed a bug that could make Rasha’nan unkillable if defeated at certain times.
- Queen Ansúrek: Fixed an issue where the Expulsion Beam visual was delayed in disappearing if the caster died while casting.
Events
Hallowfall Fishing Derby
- Derby Marks for catching each fish while the Derby Dasher aura is active are now character-specific, no longer shared between your Warband (20 Marks per character).
- Captain Oathmyt’s “Hallowfall Fishing Derby” quest is now also character-specific, instead of shared between your Warband.
- “Hallowfall Fishing Derby” quests now reward 10 Mereldar Derby Marks for each completion.
- The quests now allow you to choose between 2 Soaked Journal Entries, 2 Algari Seekerthreads, or 2 Algari Anglerthreads as rewards.
- Fish-specific pools like Royal Ripple and Swarm of Slum Sharks will now remain longer once discovered.
Items
- Feral Hide Drums no longer work for players above level 70.
The hotfixes from September 27 bring unfortunate news for players who stockpiled Feral Hide Drums. The cheap Dragonflight drums could be used up to level 80 at the start of the TWW season. However, after this hotfix, the Battlerage/Heroism drums no longer work beyond level 70. On the bright side, the Potion of the Hushed Zephyr can still be used at level 80 for potential stealth situations—for now.
