Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson has revealed that the forthcoming Battlefield experiences are being developed by the largest team ever assembled in the franchise’s history. Just last month, the company announced that the Motive studio, known for its work on the Dead Space remake and Star Wars: Squadrons, would be joining this team.

Currently, Motive is collaborating with other EA studios such as DICE, Criterion, and Ripple Effect to craft an expansive Battlefield universe, seamlessly connected through both multiplayer and single-player experiences.

In a recent discussion about EA’s financial results, Wilson expressed his excitement after getting a glimpse of what the team is creating. He personally confirmed his involvement by mentioning that he had already played a portion of the new Battlefield.

“This is the largest Battlefield team in franchise history. A few weeks ago, I was visiting with the teams, and I couldn’t be more excited about what they showed and what we were able to play.”

Wilson further mentioned that he has been extensively involved with the development team and assured that the upcoming Battlefield installment will be a remarkable game-as-a-service. However, he refrained from providing any specific release date or details regarding the trailer’s launch.

EA has recently announced that the Season 7 Turning Point released in March for Battlefield 2042 will mark the conclusion of updates for the game. This decision indicates a full focus shift towards the next chapter of the Battlefield saga.

Moreover, EA disclosed plans to launch two games within this fiscal year, ending by March 31, 2025, without revealing their titles yet. According to EA, one of these games will be developed by a third-party developer, while the other will be based on EA’s intellectual property. Speculations suggest that the latter could potentially be the highly anticipated Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
