The Batman Arkham Trilogy compilation was released for the Nintendo Switch after being delayed at the beginning of October. The third title in the saga, Batman: Arkham Knight, is considered one of the most visually stunning games released to date, raising many doubts about its performance on the Japanese handheld console. A new comparative video posted by YouTuber Cycu1 analyzes the Nintendo Switch version alongside the PS4 running on the PS5, satisfying the curiosity of a large portion of players.

Despite the Nintendo Switch version having significantly fewer details than the PS4 version, comments on the video are mostly positive, even with some drops in the frames-per-second rate, particularly in segments involving the Batmobile.

The game aims to maintain a locked frame rate at 30 FPS, but when Batman enters his vehicle, it drops to around 20 FPS, displaying irregular behavior. However, it’s worth noting that this issue is not exclusive to the Switch and already affected other consoles back in 2015.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy arrives on the Nintendo Switch with all the games and franchise expansions, marking the series’ debut on the Japanese console. The version was developed by Turn Me Up Games, known for ports such as It Takes Two, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Borderlands Legendary Collection.

Originally developed by Rocksteady, the Batman Arkham series was acclaimed by critics and players not only as the best Batman game series but also for setting a new standard for superhero-based games, even inspiring titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PS5.
