OPPO plans to unveil its new generation of top-of-the-line smartphones in mid-October 2024. However, several leaks have already given us a glimpse of what to expect from the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Ultra. On Wednesday (21), an image shared online appears to show the possible design of one of these models.

Following a leak of the design sketch for one of the models, a new photograph has surfaced. According to sources from the MyDrivers portal, it might be of the Find X8. A security shield seems to cover the camera area, hiding its true design. This adds weight to the theory that this phone is still in the development phase.
The image suggests that the new line will have a flat screen and flat sides, replacing the curved design seen in the OPPO Find X7. Rumors indicate that the screen will be 6.7 inches, with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The photograph also shows a triple camera system, likely arranged in a large circle.
The Find X8 is expected to include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 3x optical zoom lens. We anticipate that the more expensive models will include an additional periscope lens with optical zoom greater than 5x.
Under the hood, the OPPO Find X8 may feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 platform. This should reduce power consumption by 34% while maintaining the same speed as its predecessor. It will also provide an overall performance boost of 18%. We expect some models to launch in the Chinese market with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
We expect the Find X8’s battery to have a capacity of 5,700 mAh, while the Find X8 Pro will feature around 6,100 mAh. We anticipate that the Find X8 Ultra will have the largest capacity and feature a 6,200 mAh battery.
We expect the line to have similar design features, including the circular camera module and a flatter look. OPPO has not yet confirmed details about its new generation of phones. Therefore, the leaked information should be treated as rumors for now.
OPPO Find X8: Line’s Schematics and Specifications Leaked with Dimensity 9400
According to rumors, OPPO’s flagship lineup is expected to launch in two months. It may include three models: Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Ultra. Only the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will likely receive official announcements in October. The Ultra variant is planned for release in the first quarter of 2025.
After the tipster Digital Chat Station leaked several specifications of the line, they shared a schematic. This schematic appears to show the design of the Find X8 model.
In a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Digital Chat Station claims that the phone will feature a flat screen. Meanwhile, the Pro and Ultra variants will have curved displays. Therefore, the image below is believed to show the OPPO Find X8.
The model apparently has a slider alert switch on the left corner, with the power and volume buttons on the right. The photo also shows four rings and the Hasselblad logo in the center. As the standard variant, it will include three sensors and an LED flash.
For comparison, OPPO officially announced the Find X7 in January this year with a similar design, but it featured a curved display. Although it had a camera module in the same format, there are minor differences in the layout.
The OPPO Find X8 line is expected to have a 6.4- or 6.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,760 x 1,256 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Dimensity 9400 platform could power it and a 5,600 mAh battery could be included. The operating system is likely to be Android 15 with the ColorOS 15 interface.
Regarding the camera setup, rumors suggest it will include a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor, an ultrawide sensor, and another Sony IMX882 periscope sensor. The phone could come in colors such as blue, white, black, and pink.
After a leak mentioned a feature similar to Apple’s AirDrop, Digital Chat Station posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. They claim that the OPPO Find X8 series will feature functionality similar to Apple AirDrop. Users will reportedly be able to use this technology with others, including iPhone users, although an app will need to be installed.
The tipster also suggested that the prototypes of these devices will use displays from Tianma Microelectronics (TM). Additionally, Beijing Oriental Electronics (BOE) will supply some of the displays. BOE’s 2K 8T LTPO display with the new substrate is expected to improve quality and brightness, featuring thin bezels on all sides.
