Qualcomm will announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 next October during its Snapdragon Summit, which will take place from the 21st to the 23rd. As the event approaches, leaks are revealing more details about the new top-of-the-line platform. On Monday (19), someone published an alleged datasheet for the chip.

Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

The datasheet compiles all the specifications for the component, including its processing capabilities, memory compatibility, modem, and more. Unfortunately, the leaked image shows only a small part of the document. It highlights the main features and description of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

The chipset will launch in two versions: the SM8750 for general use and the SM8750P for models with even greater performance. The second variant will likely be exclusive to Samsung devices in the first half of the year. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy will appear in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the brand’s upcoming foldables.

The platform description aligns with expectations, featuring Oryon cores in the CPU, inherited from the Snapdragon X Elite. It also includes updated versions of the GPU, ISP, VPU, DPU, and 5G modem.

Detailed specifications shown in the image below:

Moving on to the main features of the chip, it will include a low-power subsystem for AI processing (LPAI) with a dedicated DSP and AI accelerator (eNPU). This setup will support continuous use of the camera, audio, sensors, and contextual data.

The chip will also support Qualcomm Aqstic low-power audio codecs, offering high-quality audio with minimal power consumption. Security will be ensured by a processing unit dedicated to this data layer, while the new Hexagon tensor processor with HVX and HMX will provide fast and accurate calculations for complex data.

Finally, the FastConnect 7900 will still be included, providing support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 5.4, and UWB networks. The chip will also support quad-channel LPDDR5X RAM, optimizing consumption and performance based on the needs of each manufacturer.

Details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s performance remain unclear. However, previous benchmark tests suggest that Qualcomm’s new platform will come close to PC solutions like the Apple M3. Its very low power consumption should make it an excellent choice for high-end Android phones and tablets.

We will reveal all the details about this and other Qualcomm launches during the Snapdragon Summit, taking place from October 21st to 23rd in Hawaii. TheTechBasic.com will be there to bring you the news firsthand.
