Almost a year after acquiring ABK, Xbox has finally announced that the first Call of Duty game is coming to its subscription service, Game Pass. A few months ago, it was believed that Black Ops 6 would be the first game to stream, but recent rumors have confirmed that Modern Warfare III is now officially set to arrive.

The game will be available on Game Pass starting tomorrow (07/24). Released in November 2023, MW3 is the latest entry in the franchise until the next Black Ops title launches in October this year.
To mark the occasion, Xbox has released a promotional video for Game Pass, showcasing several games available on the service and unveiling the new “surprise” addition. You can watch the full trailer below:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III includes a campaign, zombie mode, and multiplayer. The game will be accessible to Game Pass for Console (campaign only), PC Game Pass (full game), and Game Pass Ultimate (full game) subscribers.
Unfortunately, the game will not be available for streaming, as Ubisoft holds the streaming rights to ABK’s games since Microsoft acquired them. It is unclear when other older Call of Duty titles will come to the service, but the arrival of this latest title could suggest that more are on the way.
Be sure to check out our review of the game and its multiplayer. Unfortunately, Modern Warfare III has faced heavy criticism for its campaign length.
