In the summer of 2024, the 4th phase of the “Season of Discovery” begins for all WoW Classic fans. One of the key mechanics introduced are new class runes aimed at boosting player power. This guide focuses on all currently known runes for Shamans and their respective locations.

For the “Season of Discovery,” showcased at BlizzCon 2023 for World of Warcraft Classic a.k.a. “Classic+,” developers unveiled a range of new features. These include additional leveling phases before level 60, new level-up raids, new class roles, and a new runic engraving and rune system designed to enhance player power.
With the rune system, players will unlock runes through new “Discovery” quests, treasure chests, or secrets across Azeroth. Once unlocked, these runes will be added to a new rune interface linked to the character window. From there, players can activate “runic engraving” spells and attach runes to various pieces of equipment, thereby unlocking new spells for their characters.
In this guide, we present all known runes for Shamans and their locations so far, specifically for the Season of Discovery – Phase 4, corresponding to level 60.

The effectiveness of your ‘Chain Heal’ is only reduced by 35% per jump, and the effectiveness of ‘Chain Lightning’ is only reduced by 20% per jump. Also jumps to 1 additional target.

Storm, Earth, and Fire Δ
Slot: Cloak
Level 1
Reduces the cooldown of your ‘Chain Lightning’ spell by 50%, grants your Earthbind Totem a chance to root targets for 5 sec when placed, and increases the periodic damage of your ‘Flame Shock’ spell by 60%.

Feral Spirit Δ
Slot: Cloak
Level 1
Summons two spirit wolves under the Shaman’s command. Lasts for 45 sec.

Once additional runes are found, we will of course update the respective articles for you. However, since the discovery season is not tested on the PTR, it always takes some time after the launch on live servers until all runes have been found.
