As an added incentive for players to subscribe to PS Plus, Sony has announced that subscribers of the Premium and Deluxe plans will now have access to a catalog of approximately 100 ad-free movies, which they can watch via streaming using the PS4 and PS5.
This update is part of the Bravia Core movie service, which will be renamed Sony Pictures Core. In case you’re not familiar, Bravia Core is a Sony service launched in 2021 that could only be used on Bravia TVs and certain Xperia devices.
With Sony Pictures Core, you’ll be able to purchase or rent up to 2,000 movies to watch directly from your PS4 or PS5.

Initially, it will be possible to purchase certain Sony Pictures movies during an exclusive early access window, which will take place in markets such as the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. The first movie with early access will be Gran Turismo – From Player to Racer.
Now, if you’re a PS Plus Premium/Deluxe subscriber, you’ll have access to up to 100 movies through Sony Pictures Core at no additional cost. The catalog will be periodically updated with new movies.
Sony also mentioned that there will be additional benefits for all PS Plus subscribers, but did not provide further details on this.
