Blackmagic, the creators of the popular video editing software DaVinci Resolve, have announced a new Blackmagic Camera application designed exclusively for iPhones. The Blackmagic Camera app is intended for filming, manual settings control, and professional video recording with iPhones.
The Blackmagic Camera app is completely free, and it is promised that the iPhone’s video recording settings will now be comparable to those of professional video cameras. The Blackmagic Camera app will enable users to capture the best possible video using their iPhones.
Even users of the newly announced iPhone 15 Pro will be able to utilize the Log colour profile. The Blackmagic Camera app will seamlessly integrate with DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic Cloud, making it easier to transfer captured videos for further processing. The Blackmagic Camera app can be found for free on the App Store, with the minimum requirements for app usage being an iPhone XR and iOS 16 or newer iPhone models with the latest iOS version. Some advanced features may be exclusive to users of the latest and more expensive iPhone models.
