This year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be revealed in the upcoming Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit next month and will use Oryon CPU cores, which is a custom in Snapdragon X Elite-powered Windows laptops. The latest OnePlus 13 series is expected to be the first Android based Smartphone to integrate this highly integrated new chip. According to Android Police, this SoC will take a huge step forward in terms of mobile performance making the OnePlus 13 one of the most powerful phones.

Groundbreaking Features and Performance

In his Weibo post, Lee hinted that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will deliver a fully self-developed dual-core architecture and aims at enhancing the OnePlus consumers’ mobile experience. Although Lee did not directly refer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the OnePlus 13, the temporal coincidences and environment make it obvious that he was writing about this sorted chip and the brand’s upcoming flagship.

This also means OnePlus is going to stick to the timing of early launched with the OnePlus 13 launched in china as early as October 2024. It is expected that it would take a market wider in 2024 towards the end or early 2025.

The Oryon cores in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will level up gaming and graphical application performance in the OnePlus 13, especially in the Genshin Impact 120 frames per second. This increase in performance will be able to put it among the top devices for gaming and multitasking on Android.

Notable Display and International Availability

On top of that, OnePlus has officially stated that the OnePlus 13 will indeed not rely on Samsung OLED screens, which is the second year in a row. This decision may suggest that OnePlus has plans to differentiate its aesthetics from the rest of the flagships on the market, which in general utilize Samsung screens.

Contrary to previous trends, Qualcomm will announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 during its Snapdragon Summit in October 2024.
