A new wave of reporting says two affordable Apple products may arrive very soon. The notes point to a colorful entry-level MacBook and to an updated budget iPhone called the 17e. Early signals come from reporting tied to the Power On newsletter and to industry leaks. Apple has not confirmed dates, but the pattern of multiple outlets reporting the same story gives the rumors weight.

Launch Window Hints

Mark Gurman has written that Apple may begin a busy product run in early 2026. The reporting says the iPhone 17e could appear first and the MacBook may follow soon after. The iPhone 17e is said to be ready via a brief press release or a short announcement in late February or early March. The low-cost MacBook is expected to ship in the first half of the year, and March is mentioned as a likely month for a reveal.

Retail timing will vary by region. Carriers and Apple stores may start taking pre-orders quickly. Watch Apple press notes and the Newsroom for official pricing and ship dates. The reporting gives traders and buyers an early heads up on the likely cadence for launch and for follow-up product rollouts.

Design and Specs

The iPhone 17e is described as a modest but useful upgrade over the prior entry model. Reports say it will use the A19 processor and will gain MagSafe. The phone may also include Apple-built networking hardware and an updated modem. Price is likely to remain at about six hundred dollars in the United States. Those specs keep the phone modern while holding its role as the affordable iPhone in the lineup.

The new MacBook is intended to be a cheaper all-metal notebook with the appearance of a high-end product. Reported testing uses an aluminium frame as opposed to a plastic shell. The design tests also include bright color options such as light yellow, light green, blue, and pink, alongside silver and gray. The machine is expected to use an iPhone-class chip rather than a full M-series processor. That choice helps control cost while delivering good battery life and app compatibility.

Expect trade-offs compared with higher-end Macs. The display may be an LCD rather than OLED or ProMotion. Storage and RAM choices will match the budget angle. Apple will likely tune macOS to run well on an iPhone-class chip and to preserve the familiar Mac experience.

Apple Targets Students and Value Buyers

The iPhone 17e will suit people who want modern iOS performance at a lower price. MagSafe support brings easy wireless charging and more accessories. The A19 processor keeps the phone current for apps and for iOS updates. Buyers who need the highest level of performance or the Pro features should still be considered in the flagship models.

MacBook will also focus on the student population and non-professional users who desire to have a small laptop that is easy to carry around. Its rate ought to be at a comfortable low end of the higher-priced MacBooks, but above the lowest-priced educational tablets and Chromebooks. Buyers who value screen fidelity for pro creative work should look to the higher-tier MacBook Air and MacBook Pro machines.
