We’ve been buzzing about the PS5 Pro launch for months, with various leaks along the way, but the date never seems to arrive. However, Sony has now announced a technical event, hosted by Mark Cerny, for tomorrow, September 10th.

While it isn’t 100% confirmed that this will be the PS5 Pro presentation, as Sony never reveals the content of its events in advance, all signs point to it. We might finally see the new console, which is expected to debut in the coming months as a top gift for the Christmas season.
Regardless of the details, we know the event will take place at 11:00 a.m. EST, last for 9 minutes, and will be hosted by Mark Cerny. The event will be streamed on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, which is already set up for the official start tomorrow. It looks like the PS5 Pro is almost here.
As with everything about the PS5 Pro, its specifications are still a mystery. Previous leaks suggest the new console will have nearly 50% more power compared to the standard PlayStation 5.
Sony Special Event: PS5 Pro?
The new hardware is expected to see a significant boost in GPU power, with 33.5 teraflops more than the original. The CPU will likely see minimal changes, as most improvements will focus on the graphics. We can also expect a new design, similar to the PS5 Slim, along with enhanced console efficiency.
However, there are also some concerns. Tomorrow’s announcement might include price adjustments for Sony’s PlayStation hardware and services, potentially raising prices in some markets, although this has not been confirmed. Additionally, a price increase for the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller was confirmed today, and other accessories might see similar price hikes.
