The Huawei executive in charge of consumer business, Yu Chengdong recently hinted during a recent occasion that the triple-fold phone will be launched in September as revealed by Huawei Central. Huawei teased this through a video which was basically an announcement of the new device’s design and performance. The smartphone named Mate XT Ultimate Design has been in the works for five years and according to Huawei Central, the company has made a breakthrough in the development of foldable phones.

Moreover, during the delivery ceremony of the STELATO S9, Yu Chengdong teased audiences with a glimpse of the tri-fold phone, generating further buzz. The phone is expected to be launched with hinting at PC-level applications support through HarmonyOS which Apple is expected to challenge with the iPhone 16 series.
