Apple confirmed on Monday afternoon (26) the date for launching the iPhone 16 line. The company will also unveil several other products at its annual event later this year. The conference, which has already been recorded, will take place on September 9 at 1:00 pm GMT-4. It can be watched on Apple’s official website and the company’s YouTube channel.

Apple plans to release the new iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max in 2024. They will follow the 2023 models with no major changes to the lineup. As usual, Apple has prepared a slogan for the event, which is “It’s Glowtime.“

Expectations from Apple Event

The big stars of the event will be the iPhones, available in four models. They will offer different features and price ranges from $800 to $1,699. Apple expects the base models, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, to feature the new A18 chip. Otherwise, they will be similar to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, with a 60 Hz screen and aluminum body.

The “professional” models will feature a new 48 MP ultrawide camera and larger screens with reduced bezels, measuring 6.3 and 6.9 inches. The other two models will remain at 6.1 and 6.7 inches. They will use the new A18 Pro chip and include a telephoto lens with 5x zoom. This feature is currently only available on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In addition to the phones, three new watches are also expected. These are the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Watch Series 10, and Watch SE 3. While little has been leaked about these smartwatches so far, it is possible that the more affordable third-generation Watch SE will feature a plastic body and come in several color options, targeting a younger audience.

Now, we just have to wait a few more days to learn all about Apple’s next releases, which should go on sale in September in selected markets.
