Motorola has not yet set a date to introduce the Edge 50 Neo to the public, but it seems that it won’t be long before that happens, as leaks about it become more frequent every day. After specifications and rendered images of the device in its four colors were leaked, it’s time for renowned tipster Evan Blass to shed some light on the new mid-range device.

Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

In a post on the social network X, formerly Twitter, Blass released several real-world photos of the Edge 50 Neo in the colors Nautical Blue (blue), Latte (beige), Grisaille (gray), and Poinciana (red). All the tones are signed by Pantone, as was already done with the Edge 40 Neo, showing that Motorola continues to bet heavily on the partnership to offer an exclusive design for its cell phones.

The images do not provide any new information per se, and are simply a way of seeing how the device looks in a real environment, as rendered images often do not do justice to the final finish of the product. This allows you to see in detail the texture of the rear panel, which will feature Vegan Leather to deliver a softer-touch finish, while making the smartphone more elegant and with a premium feel.

The Edge 50 Ultra is expected to be unveiled sometime in the coming weeks. Its predecessor, the Edge 40 Neo, was released in September 2023, so Motorola is likely to look for a similar window to unveil the new version.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo appears in all colors and has specifications leaked

The Edge 50 Neo will be Motorola’s new bet in the mid-range smartphone category and has been appearing more frequently in rumors and leaks. The latest batch of information about the device comes from the YTECHB portal, which released several images of the device in its four color options: Nautical Blue (blue), Latte (beige), Grisaille (gray), and Poinciana (red).

Following the partnership with Pantone, which has been expanding with the brand’s recent releases, all four colors of the Edge 50 Neo will be Pantone-signed, just as seen with the Edge 40 Neo. All tones appear with a rear panel finish in Vegan Leather, reinforcing Motorola’s commitment to design and a more cohesive experience across its lines.

In addition to reinforcing the look leaked in recent weeks, the images also allow us to get a better idea of what to expect from the device, including a good view of its flat screen, straight sides, the rear camera module more integrated with the body of the device, and its ports, buttons, and connections.

The Edge 50 Neo will have the volume and power buttons on the right side, where there is also a small hole, likely for a microphone. At the bottom, you can see the USB-C port, main speaker grille, another microphone, and the SIM card slot, while on the top side, there is a third microphone and the Dolby Atmos inscription.

The camera module appears with the inscriptions 2.0 µm, OIS, and “13-73 mm”. This indicates that there will be a main camera with large pixels, optical image stabilization, and ultrawide + wide + telephoto cameras, with optical zoom close to 3x relative to the main lens.

The expected specifications for the Edge 50 Neo include a 6.4-inch pOLED screen with Full HD resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 platform, options of 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage, a triple rear camera setup of 50 + 13 + 10 MP, a 32 MP front camera, and a 4,310 mAh battery. It would also have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, dimensions of 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm, a weight of 171 grams, and Android 14.
