The WoW developers at Blizzard have listened to the community and made further improvements to the follower dungeons. These dungeons were initially introduced at the end of WoW Dragonflight. However, most people think of follower dungeons as a feature from WoW The War Within. This makes sense because they are now available from the start for the first time and are integrated into other systems.

For example, the campaign runs through a dungeon, making it mandatory rather than optional. Additionally, the dungeons in The War Within are generally upgraded and offer better rewards, among other things.
Now, the developers have made another change, addressing one of the biggest criticisms of the current beta. The follower dungeons have been further upgraded and will soon be able to do even more than before.

WoW: Just a Bug? Follower Dungeons Count After All!
A long time ago, many players were surprised and annoyed that the new follower dungeons were available but did not count for many quests and tasks. What was particularly frustrating for most was the weekly dungeon quests that could not be completed using follower dungeons.
Even back then, some people suspected that it might be a bug, though it was probably just wishful thinking. But now it turns out that this might actually have been the case. The follower dungeons now count towards the weekly quests. A few other restrictions that had lessened the value of these dungeons have also been removed.
In the current version, the follower dungeons are now on the same level as the normal dungeons. Whether it’s about experience points, reputation, rewards, or quests, you can earn everything from the follower dungeons that you can get from the normal dungeons.
Whether this is a bug fix or whether the developers adjusted it based on feedback remains unknown for now.
Of course, you still have to visit the heroic or mythic dungeons for high-level rewards. These currently do not have any kind of automated followers. But such a feature should not be ruled out for the future. Who would have thought ten years ago that we would be running our dungeons in WoW with NPCs?
