Last week, Microsoft made headlines by announcing a special edition Deadpool-themed Xbox Series X and controller to celebrate the release of the third film about the mercenary with a mouth. Like most special editions, the device and its accessory will not be available for purchase through traditional means. Instead, interested parties will need to enter a giveaway on X/Twitter.

If you thought Wolverine deserved a special edition controller, you’re in luck! Xbox has revealed a Wolverine edition of the wireless controller featuring “Logan’s own Adamantium-tough butt.”
The Wolverine edition of the Butt Controller boasts incredible details that reference the costume worn by Wolverine in the film. It includes yellow joysticks, black buttons, and the iconic “butt” on the back.
Similar to the Deadpool edition, the Wolverine-themed controller will also be available only through the Xbox raffle.
For those curious, a video posted on X/Twitter shows that the controller’s butt is made of plastic and attached with magnets, so it can be removed. Unfortunately, it is not made of silicone to give it a softer, more tactile feel.

Fortunately, if you don’t want to rely on the lottery, DoD, a third-party controller manufacturer, has announced custom versions of the Deadpool and Wolverine Xbox controllers. The Deadpool version looks very similar to the official one, while the Wolverine version features a more elaborate back with adamantium claws protruding from the controller.
There is no information yet on the price or release date for these custom versions, but it’s great to see that fans will have a chance to get their hands on Deadpool’s plastic back.
