It appears that Blizzard developers are altering the way addons communicate with the game servers. Certain addons that consume a significant amount of data might undergo throttling. This could have severe repercussions, particularly for RP enthusiasts in WoW. According to a WoW dataminer’s Twitter post, the upcoming addon changes in patch 10.2.7 would drastically increase the time it takes for queries on TRP3, from a few seconds to a staggering 20 to 90 seconds. This testing scenario involved only two individuals, but in a real situation with numerous players, the waiting period could become unmanageable.
