At Gamescom, we got a preview of the new monsters coming in Diablo 4’s expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Team of Blizzard Entertainment traveled to Cologne for Gamescom 2024. They shared details about the first expansion, Vessel of Hatred.

In this expansion, players will explore the jungle area of Nahantu. They will also revisit the famous city of Kurast. Nahantu is packed with monster sanctuaries ready to attack. We will show you some of these new enemies below.
New Monsters in Vessel of Hatred
Nahantu has many sub-regions, each with its own twisted monsters. The Lacuni are fierce predators of the Plain of Teganze. The Blighted Earth has poison-filled caves. The Hollows dominate the treetops of Smoldering Hatred. Meanwhile, the Dregs, affected by hallucinogens, hide in the dense canopy.
These corrupted areas show how Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, has taken over this once-thriving land. Discover the dark threats and powerful tools you can use to fight them.
The Lacuni might look familiar to Diablo fans. In Diablo 4, their design has been updated again. We are still unsure if The Hollows will be named “The Empty Ones” in the end.
