Qualcomm officially announced its newest chipset, called the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This is a more affordable version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 , but still offers advanced flagship-style features.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Specifications
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is designed for premium class devices. Its capabilities are a level below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with several adjustments such as the CPU and GPU. Just like its sibling, this chipset is made with TSMC 4nm fabrication.
Regarding specifications, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is equipped with a Cortex-X4 CPU with a speed of 3.0GHz as the prime core, 4x Cortex-A720 2.8GHz as the performance core, and 3x Cortex-A520 2.8GHz as the power saving core.
For GPU, it uses Adreno 735, below Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which uses Adreno 750. This chipset supports LPDDR5x 4200MHz RAM with a capacity of up to 24 GB. Apart from that, there is also support for UFS 4.0 for storage, and USB 3.1 Gen 2.

The connectivity sector relies on the Snapdragon X70 5G modem. Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is equipped with an 18-bit Triple ISP, and is capable of recording video up to 4K HDR at 60fps or 1080p at 240fps.
What’s interesting is that Qualcomm continues to include on-device Generative AI features, which allow users to produce unique content such as images, help productivity with AI-based assistants, and various other breakthroughs.

Availability Schedule
There is no definite schedule for when smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will hit the market. What is certain is that well-known OEMs such as realme, Xiaomi, Redmi, iQOO and Honor are ready to present their products in the next few months.
