Xiaomi phones, especially those with HyperOS, typically offer a smooth interface, regardless of the processor or whether the model is high-end or mid-range. However, in some cases, the speed when opening apps or simply browsing the system may not meet expectations. This could be due to many apps running in the background or simply because you want your phone to run even smoother.

Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

In such cases, and like with other features such as the camera, Xiaomi offers a hidden setting that you can easily activate. It’s a little trick that not everyone knows about, and it doesn’t impact battery life. Plus, no third-party tools are needed—just a few simple steps.

The trick is to adjust the speed of the system animations. By default, Xiaomi uses a “balanced” animation speed, but there are also slower and faster options. To make your smartphone run twice as fast, you should select the faster option.

How to Make Your Xiaomi Go Faster by Adjusting the Speed of Animations

To make your Xiaomi phone run faster by changing the animation speed, simply go to the system settings. Then, select the “Home screen” option, and in the home screen settings, choose “Animation speed.” Finally, select the “Fast” option.

You will immediately notice that the animations on your Xiaomi phone are faster. You can check this by opening new apps, switching between them, sliding the notification panel, or opening the control center.

Additionally, there are other tricks you can use to make your Xiaomi run even faster. For example, clear the cache. This is useful if you’ve had your device for a while, as junk files can build up in the system memory and slow down the phone. It’s also important to keep your smartphone updated. In fact, HyperOS 2.0, the brand’s latest operating system update, speeds up performance even more than previous versions.
