Your iPhone Is Finally Getting This Long-Awaited Feature: It’s Been On Android For Years And It’s Amazing!

No one can explain why it has taken Apple so long to offer something as simple and useful as today’s featured feature. This option has been making life easier for Android users for years, yet the Cupertino company hasn’t made the change until now. That is about to change, as iPhones are set to receive Business Caller ID, making it easier to identify unknown numbers that call.

If you’ve never had an Android phone, you might not know how it works, but it’s really simple. Google’s ecosystem uses its large database of companies and cross-references it with the calls you receive, so it can display on your screen which company is calling. This helps you decide whether to pick up or not.

Essentially, this is the same feature Apple will include on the iPhone with Business Caller ID. Companies will be able to sign up for Apple’s service so that when they call, their logo and name will appear next to the phone number. This way, users can quickly identify who is calling and decide whether to pick up or not.

Without this feature, these types of numbers are hard to identify, leading users to answer in case it’s something urgent or a call they are expecting. With Caller ID, you can see if the caller is from Yoigo or Iberdrola, and if you don’t have services with them, you can assume it’s a marketing call.

It’s unclear when this feature will be available on iPhones and how useful it will be. While Google relies on its vast Google Maps database, Apple depends on its smaller, U.S.-focused Business Connect program.

The good news is that Apple is actively working to bring this feature to iPhones, so sooner or later, users will see its benefits.

Your iPhone Still Has a Long Way to Go Before It Gets Android’s Calling System.

Unfortunately, Apple hasn’t addressed spam calls yet. Google is not only implementing business identification on Android, but it’s also tackling numbers related to scams or aggressive advertising. It even allows users to report a phone number after hanging up.

This is a really useful feature, as it helps you quickly identify if the calling number is likely to sell you something or scam you. Sadly, the iPhone still doesn’t show this information, and it doesn’t seem like Apple is working on adding it.
