Performance and Limits
LG is also matching Gram Pro 17 with an RTX 5050 laptop graphics card which has 8 gigabytes of VRAM. The company describes this GPU as enough for content creation and light gaming workloads.
Do not expect a desktop beating gaming monster. An 8 gigabyte RTX 5050 will not run modern games at top settings at high frame rates for long. Thermal headroom is a real limit when the priority is a slim and light chassis.
The Gram Pro 16 will ship with an OLED display and Intel Core Ultra processors. LG also touts on device AI features and cloud AI support for the line. The company positions this as a balance of mobility and capability.
What LG Did Not Tell Us
Price remains unannounced. Release dates are also not final. Those two facts matter more than marketing superlatives. A featherlight laptop with modest GPU power may be appealing if the price is fair. It will not be appealing if it arrives with an Ultra price and midrange performance. US exclusivity at launch is in the slides. That is a small flag that the company sees the model as a niche play not a mass product. Market availability will shape real momentum.
