Spotify has returned with a larger Wrapped for 2025. The experience expands its social tools and adds a live multiplayer mode called Wrapped Party that lets friends compare listening data in one live session. The company also added new ways to show play counts for top songs and to group listeners by style and role.
New social feature
Wrapped Party allows a host to invite up to nine friends to join a live session. The feature builds a group story from the listening habits in that room and assigns playful group titles such as the most obsessed fan and the early bird. These group awards update every time the party runs, so the results can change in each session.

Spotify also launched Wrapped Clubs and Listening Age. Clubs place a user into one of six listening groups and assign a role based on behavior. Listening Age compares the era of music a person favored to others in the same age group by looking at the years when the most listened-to tracks were released. These features aim to give context to patterns inside a person account.
The Top Songs Playlist now shows play counts for each track. The change gives a clearer view of how often a user returned to a favorite song during the year. Spotify also added top album metrics and extended data for podcasts and audiobooks for users who listen to spoken word content.
How it works
A user can open Wrapped inside the Spotify mobile app to start a Wrapped Party or to view personal results. A host sets up the party and shares a link or code to invite others. Anyone who joins live will see the shared group story and can share the final results after the session ends. The host controls the initial setup, and the session runs live in the app.
Spotify will not label the whole experience as being made with AI. The company does use a large language model to add a storytelling layer and to generate natural language summaries inside parts of the Wrapped presentation. The firm stated that it took audience feedback from 2024 into account and used that input to steer the 2025 experience back toward more data-driven and social features.

The company also shared top global winners and year-wide trends with this Wrapped. The Wrapped newsroom posts show the artists and works that led the year in streams and in listener engagement. Those lists sit beside the new personal features that aim to make the recap more social and shareable.
This edition of Wrapped gives users more ways to compare tastes and to make that comparison a shared event. The new features aim to return Wrapped to the interactive and social highlight it once was, while adding clearer data points for users and for creators.
