The update brings watched items, saved items, and favorites into one central place. The design aims to reduce confusion and speed up the process of choosing something to watch.
Simpler TV navigation
The new design incorporates a navigation bar at the top of the screen. There is a section therein known as My Netflix. Everything that a child watched or was a favorite of is saved or marked as such in my Netflix. The central hub simplifies the process of a child accessing a show again or watching an episode that he or she likes again. Parents can make it convenient by checking on what his/her child is watching without necessarily going through the menus.
Rather, Netflix asserted that the recommendations are now updated in real-time. That means the choices on screen will change quickly to match what a child has been watching in the moment. The goal is to cut the time kids spend scrolling. Classic elements that children and parents know are still present. Character-themed rows, the Mystery Box, and parental controls remain available. The update keeps familiar features while making the overall flow clearer.
Faster show discovery
The change also prepares the platform for new formats. Netflix intends to roll out more interactive content, live voting, and party-style features next year. The redesigned kids homepage creates space for those formats to appear naturally inside the TV interface. That will help children discover interactive programs and participate in real-time experiences.
The visual design is more direct and more consistent. Buttons are larger and labels are clearer. The browsing session should feel calmer and less overwhelming for younger viewers.
