Ripple Effect developers say the class system in Battlefield 6 is already moving beyond what players saw in the open beta. That means familiar roles like Assault and Support could feel different at launch than they did during testing.

The studio is making changes to balance power and to encourage teamwork. Players saw during the beta that Assault could feel dominant. Support also had tools that allowed it to affect the battle in ways some players found surprising. The team listened and is shifting roles to reward cooperation over lone wolf play.

Class system changes

Creative director Thomas Andersson said the class system has been adjusted since the beta. He said Assault efficiency will be reduced in some areas. At the same time the role will gain clearer team value. The deploy beacon will move to Assault so teammates will spawn on that player more often. That change encourages Assault to lead pushes and to set up forward positions.

The studio is also watching Support and other roles. The goal is to make each class feel useful and fair. The team wants squads to work together to gain an advantage. This approach should lower the impact of one person doing everything.

What players should do

Expect the balance to shift more as the game approaches launch. The team said some of the changes are already in place. Players should be ready to adapt and to try new squad strategies. Playing with a small group and testing different class mixes will help teams find winning setups.

Developers remain active on tuning vehicles and other systems. They say they are working on anti tank and anti air damage and other points that players raised during the beta. The team prefers starting with weaker vehicles than starting with ones that are too powerful. That is to avoid a game where vehicles dominate from day one.

How to adapt fast

Learn to play several roles. The deploy beacon is used as a means to advance the team by playing practice squad. Expectant both attack and defense constructions. Provide feedback in the formal way to allow the devs to continue to balance.

On October 10, Battlefield 6 is released. The developers expect to do future tuning after the launch according to the real world play patterns. It implies that the meta will be developed over time. The most beneficiary will be players who remain flexible.

Apple style or console players will notice the shifts quickly. The new class changes aim to reward teamwork and to keep the game feeling like classic Battlefield while still offering new ways to play. Teams that adapt early will shape the future of the game.
