A major quality-of-life improvement that excited transmog fans in The War Within’s beta seems to have missed the live servers.
When the beta servers for The War Within were launched a few months ago, they brought a lot of excitement for World of Warcraft transmog enthusiasts. Along with various transmog changes that made farming templates easier, a specific quality-of-life adjustment generated significant buzz. Unfortunately, this change has not yet made it to the live servers.
Transmog Templates from Quest Rewards Not Credited Across Classes
The change in question allowed players to receive the designs of all rewards from a completed quest as transmog templates, even if they couldn’t use the items with their current character class. For instance, if a monk received both leather and plate chest armor from a quest, both designs would be added to their collection as templates, even though the monk couldn’t equip the plate armor.
WoW also introduced a new dropdown menu for switching between individual classes, which lets players view transmog designs specific to each class. However, when checking the transmog menu on the live server for version 11.0, it’s clear that only one of these changes has been implemented so far.
The dropdown menu for selecting classes is available, but you still only receive transmog templates for items your character can actually use. Currently, it’s unclear if the developers have removed this quality-of-life adjustment entirely, if it’s a bug, or if it simply didn’t make it into the pre-patch. We’ll keep you updated on any developments regarding this feature.
