In July, Bethesda registered the trademark “Starborn,” which could be the name of the second expansion for Starfield. The information was discovered by user Timur222 on X (or Twitter, if you prefer), who found the name on the USPTO (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) for use in video games.

In Starfield’s story, Starborn is a group of beings that reveal themselves to players after they have collected enough artifacts in the main game’s storyline. They are a group of humans who have traveled through portals and between universes.
“Shattered Space,” the first major story expansion for Starfield, will be released in 2024. In terms of scope, director Todd Howard says that the DLC will be similar in size to Far Harbor in Fallout 4.
Recently, the director confirmed that he aims to release story expansions for Starfield annually. This means that Starborn is expected to be released in 2025, with Bethesda providing extended support for the game, similar to what was done with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.

During an interview with the YouTube channel MrMattyPlays, Todd Howard mentioned that he expects to bring content to Starfield for a long time and confirmed that another expansion is planned beyond “Shattered Space.”
Currently, Bethesda is finalizing the first expansion, which will be released for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The synopsis describes a mysterious energy stirring in the city of Dazra, the hidden home of the Va’ruun House. There, players will investigate a terrifying cosmic threat and explore a new planet to find unique weapons, space suits, and equipment.
