In recent days, WoW has evolved beyond its status as a premier MMORPG, embracing a distinct sense of humor once again after navigating through past sexism scandals. Developers, now more cautious, have chosen to tread carefully, avoiding humor that might lead to missteps.
Yet, a recent occurrence on the Season of Discovery Classic servers has brought levity back into the community. For some time now, a particular troll in phase 2 has proven to be a formidable foe.
In a recent endeavor, even a game master intervened to aid the players, albeit unsuccessfully. The reason behind the developers’ fervent desire for the troll Kha’damu’s defeat is now apparent. The spoils of victory include a weapon of unmatched power – almost comically overpowered.

A coalition, comprising streamers and YouTubers along with their followers, ultimately succeeded in defeating Kha’damu. Among the treasures discovered within the slain troll’s lair was the fabled Bloodthirst Blade. While its statistics might elicit amusement from retail players, by Classic standards, its potency eclipses all other weaponry in the game.

However, keen observers may have noticed a peculiar detail. The developers have crafted a sword with unreachable attributes. Not only does it necessitate level 125 (far beyond the Season of Discovery’s current level cap of 40), but it also bears a unique creation count of (0) – signifying that it cannot be crafted even once.
Thus, the sword stands as a testament to absurdity, tantalizingly powerful yet forever out of reach. It appears unattainable even through looting, as no player attains the required “power” to wield it, relegating it to the troll’s remains as a lasting monument.
Apart from a handful of potions and an abundance of mojo, the troll left behind no other spoils. Yet, the absence of conventional rewards was inconsequential. The defeat of one of Classic’s most formidable trolls was deemed a sufficient reward in itself, accompanied by the faint echoes of developers’ mischievous laughter resonating in the distance.
