In the past weeks, rumors have been swirling about iQOO’s plans to unveil a new addition to its Z series in India—the iQOO Z9. Recent certification of the device suggests an imminent official announcement.

Insights from Digital Chat Station

Following Digital Chat Station’s revelations about the device’s display, more details have emerged regarding the iQOO Z9’s chipset and battery capacity. In a Weibo post, the informant disclosed that the iQOO Z9 will boast a 1.5K resolution OLED screen, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform, and house a hefty 6,000 mAh battery.

Initially, speculation pointed towards the iQOO Z9 being equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 platform. However, the informant corrected this information, confirming the presence of a Snapdragon platform. Notably, the previously mentioned 1.5K resolution was reiterated.

Renderings and Certifications

Last month, conceptual renderings of the iQOO Z9 surfaced, offering a glimpse into its alleged design. Days ago, the device received certification from the Bluetooth SIG regulatory authority under the moniker “vivo T3 5G,” affirming Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Awaiting Further Details

Apart from these mentioned specifications, little else is known about the iQOO Z9. Nevertheless, considering it has been six months since the launch of the iQOO Z8 and its successor’s certification by Bluetooth SIG, anticipation is building for more revelations in the coming weeks, possibly including an official launch date.
