In mid-August, Google Calendar embraced two widgets aligning with Material You design, now adding another awaited feature. In my view, this addition is long overdue.

Enhanced Task Management

The recent update enables users to conceal completed tasks within the web interface. This empowers users to focus solely on ongoing tasks and events, enhancing overall clarity and orientation within Google Calendar. The prior system, displaying long-completed tasks, could be rather irksome.

Seamless Activation – Google Calendar

Upon opening Google Calendar on the web, a notification may appear stating “Complete tasks are now hidden.” To revert to the previous view, simply toggle the time period and select “Show completed tasks”. As of now, this feature is server-side activated. Regrettably, Android and iOS versions of the Google Calendar app have yet to incorporate this option. Nonetheless, mobile integration is anticipated in upcoming updates.
