Discover the Future of Gaming: Nintendo Switch 2 Rumors and Exciting Possibilities!

The Nintendo Switch 2 may also have a version without a physical media reader, according to rumours. Although Nintendo has not officially confirmed the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, even stating that it intends to release new games for the current console until at least March 2025, rumours about the new console continue to circulate on the internet.

This week, the renowned insider known as The Snitch revealed on Discord that Nintendo plans to launch the successor to the Switch in September 2024, but the forecast may change to November 2024, depending on the progress of development and logistics.

Another piece of news brought by the insider is that the console is expected to be sold in two distinct versions, one with a physical media reader and one without the reader. This follows a trend seen in the most recent consoles from Sony and Microsoft, with the version without the reader being slightly cheaper.

According to Snitch, the version with the reader will be sold for $499, while the version without the reader will cost $399. These prices align with the launch prices of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, adding about $200 to the launch price of the Nintendo Switch in the United States.
