Finally, after several months, WhatsApp has realized it needs to change how it uses one of its most popular features. The app’s beta has revealed that the company is working on updates for emojis. However, this change applies not to all emojis or those used in chats, but specifically to the emojis used to react to messages, photos, videos, or voice notes. Now this tool will be much better.

Although it hasn’t been available for long, WhatsApp has recognized the need to adjust a few details in its operation. Don’t worry—everything will remain in the same place as before, and the way you react to messages will stay the same. What will change is the selection of emojis that are shown for reactions.
WhatsApp’s change is simple and very useful. Soon, the reaction bar will no longer show just the predefined emojis from the company; instead, it will include the most used ones. So, if you often use the blue heart emoticon, it will now be available in the reaction bar, allowing you to use it in just seconds.
While the bar previously let you use any emoji, the process was slow and required several clicks to search through the list. Now, it will be much faster to react with the emojis you use the most. If you want to access the full list, you can still click the ‘+’ symbol to find any emoji you need.
It’s a simple detail, and may seem unimportant to some, but it makes using this popular tool in individual and group chats easier and more appealing. The downside is that this change hasn’t been implemented yet; for now, it is only available to beta users. But don’t worry—the global and stable version of WhatsApp should bring it to devices worldwide soon.
Although this update has been seen in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, there is no reason to believe it won’t be available for iOS and iPhones as well.

There isn’t much information available yet, but it seems that videos shown in WhatsApp channels will play automatically as users browse through their pending messages. Of course, this will only apply to videos sent natively, not to those linked from other platforms like YouTube or Facebook.
