Patch 11.0.5 of WoW: The War Within is exciting news for transmog fans. This update brings the much-awaited feature for quest items, allowing players to unlock new transmog options from their completed quests.
In Patch 11.0.5 for WoW: The War Within, Blizzard’s developers have planned more class changes than initially expected. The November update not only includes buffs and nerfs for different heroes but also kicks off the special 20th-anniversary event for the game, making it a significant patch.
Additionally, the update offers PvP changes and several quality-of-life improvements. Most notably, it includes the long-promised transmog revolution tied to the Warband system, giving players more transmog rewards through quest completions.
Transmog Feature Arrives with Patch 11.0.5
The patch notes for 11.0.5 mention the following:
- Non-cosmetic class-restricted gear can now have its appearance collected by other classes. This change will apply retroactively to any gear currently in your bank or inventory.
- After completing quests, all appearances from non-cosmetic item rewards will be granted, even if the class you’re playing cannot see or select them. This will also apply retroactively to all previously completed quests.
With the release of this patch, transmog templates for other classes can now be collected automatically. This change also affects items already stored in your bank or inventory. However, special cosmetic items are not included in this update.
The highlight of the transmog changes is the second point: when you complete quests, all item reward appearances will be unlocked, regardless of whether your current class can see or choose them. This also applies to past quests you have already completed, but again, special cosmetic items are excluded.
Transmog fans have been eagerly waiting for this feature. Now, with WoW Patch 11.0.5, you can complete your transmog collection for quest items using just one character. You won’t need to repeat quests with each armor class, as the rewards are retroactive. This means you can begin right away to expand your collection.
