Numerous users find their Samsung Galaxy Watch has problems tracking their sleep patterns. A segment of Samsung Galaxy Watches faces problems with the automatic recording of sleep information, according to the company’s admission. The snooze tracking failure occurs across all Galaxy Watch 4, 5, 6, 7, and Ultra versions. The company provided simple solutions that allowed users to recover their sleep-tracking functionality.

Restart Your Galaxy Watch

Starting your watch by restarting it stands as your initial troubleshooting step. A system restart solves some technical issues with devices.

  1. Together, press down on the power button while pressing the back button.
  2. Users should tap “Turn Off” on the menu when it appears.
  3. After a 30-second delay, start the device again using the power button.

This simple step can fix small glitches that mess up sleep tracking.

Turn Power Saving Mode Off and On

Power Saving Mode helps your watch battery last longer, but it might stop sleep tracking from working right.

  1. Open the Settings app on your watch.
  2. Go to “Battery” and find “Power Saving Mode.”
  3. If it is on, turn it off. Follow these steps to operate the appliance if it is turned off: Start the power for a few seconds before powering it off again.

This tricks the watch into resetting how it uses its features, which can fix sleep tracking.

Update the Samsung Health App

Old apps can cause problems. Samsung is working on a big update to fix the sleep issue, but you should check for updates now.

  1. Open the Galaxy Store on your watch or phone.
  2. Search for “Samsung Health.”
  3. If you see an “Update” button, tap it.

After updating, restart your watch to make sure the changes work.

Extra Tips to Improve Sleep Tracking

Clean Your Watch

The sensors on your watch become blocked when dirt or sweat reaches the back surface. Use a gentle cloth to clean the watch before nighttime.

Wear It Tight Enough

The performance of sleep tracking relies on a watch that fits properly on your wrist. Place your sleep tracker on a higher position of your wrist with a secure fit during nighttime.

Turn On Heart Rate Tracking

The sleep tracking system detects your heart rate to distinguish between deep sleep and light sleep. Open Samsung Health and navigate to Settings, followed by Heart Rate, then select Measure All the Time.

Use Bedtime Mode

Bedtime Mode stops notifications and dims the screen so your sleep is not disturbed. Turn it on by swiping down on your watch screen and tapping the moon icon.

Samsung Is Working on a Permanent Fix

Samsung knows the sleep tracking problem is frustrating. The company promised a future update for the Samsung Health app and that it would fix it for good. Follow the described steps, so your watch achieves better performance until Support can resolve the issue.

Contact Samsung Support either through their website or through the Samsung Members app if the provided tips fail to solve the problem.

Keeping track of your sleep duration aids in understanding your health condition. Your Galaxy Watch monitoring capabilities will help you track your nights properly through these solutions.
