Earthen have a problem in WoW: They cannot eat food. This affects the regeneration of their health and mana. However, the developers have found a solution by introducing a new racial ability.
Since the adventures of Nomi, the cooking pandaren, we have known that food plays an important role in World of Warcraft. While most races in Azeroth enjoy stews, cakes, and beer, Earthen face a different issue with food.
Earthen cannot eat conventional food and instead need to consume ingest minerals through their racial ability, which involves “eating” the gems of Khaz Algar. This passive skill, however, has been a source of frustration for players.
Earthen Think About Regenerating Mana and Health
Because Earthen cannot eat normal food, they have no way to restore their health or mana in instances or PvP, such as by using food conjured by a mage. However, the developers have recognized this issue and released a hotfix that allows Earthen to regenerate mana and health during breaks in combat.
This is made possible by a new racial ability for Earthen called Quiet Contemplation. This ability is similar to meditation: your character sits down to reflect and appears to nibble on a gemstone. Over a period of 20 seconds, you will restore mana and health. The ability has a cooldown of just one second, allowing you to use it repeatedly until your resources are fully regenerated.
Although this change is well received by fans, some players at WoW are still frustrated with what they see as the Earthen’s disappointing racial abilities.
