During WoW 20th anniversary celebrations, players can claim various rewards from previous anniversary events. One of these rewards is a special flying mount that was originally exclusive to the MMORPG’s 15th anniversary.
With the release of “The War Within,” WoW developers are showing that they value the opinions and desires of their fans. This is reflected in many ways, including the upcoming event for WoW’s 20th anniversary. During the celebration, players will have the chance to earn rewards that were once available for a very limited time.
One such reward is the Obsidian Worldbreaker, a flying mount inspired by Deathwing. This mount was originally available as a reward for completing the achievement “Memories of Fel, Frost and Fire” during WoW’s 15th anniversary.
Deathwing Returns as a Mount
If you missed the opportunity to get this impressive mount back then, you now have another chance to add the Obsidian Worldbreaker to your collection during the WoW 20th anniversary event.
Unlike the 15th anniversary, this time you don’t need to complete a series of quests to unlock the mount. Instead, you can simply purchase it from a merchant using the special event currency.
The event merchant, Storekeeper Reginald, can be found at the Anniversary Celebration Pavilion. He will sell you the Obsidian Worldbreaker in exchange for 20 Bronze Celebration Tokens.
You can earn these tokens by completing various quests and activities during the anniversary event, though the exact number of tokens earned for each activity has not yet been revealed.
In addition to the Obsidian Worldbreaker, Storekeeper Reginald also offers several other items, such as special pets like the Baby Blizzard Bear, the Molten Corgi, and the Core Hound Mount from the Molten Core (Core Hound Chain).
