The WoW developers Bilizzard, have not yet made any level adjustments to two consumables from the endgame of Dragonflight. This means you can stock up on these items for the first season of The War Within at a reasonable price.
Anyone looking to tackle mythic raids and Mythic+ dungeons at the start of The War Within’s first season in WoW will not only need the right gear but also various consumables like flasks, drums, buff food, and potions.
However, buying all the necessary supplies can cost quite a lot of gold, especially if you go for the TWW items. But if you use the corresponding items from Dragonflight, you can save a lot of money.
Dragonflight Drums and Potions Cost a Fraction of TWW Items
Now, you might be wondering why you should buy Dragonflight consumables when developers usually put a level cap on older items at the start of each expansion, making them unusable for current endgame content.
The reason is simple: the WoW team has not yet adjusted two specific items. The Feral Hide Drums and Potion of the Hushed Zephyr from Dragonflight are currently identical to the Thunderous Drums and Draught of Silent Footfalls from The War Within.
For example, while the Thundering Drums are priced around 1,500 gold, the Wildhide Drums cost just four gold.
Similarly, the Potion of the Silent Zephyr is available for 10 gold, while the Keg Beer of Silent Steps is being sold for 295 gold.
It’s still unclear if the WoW developers intentionally left out the level cap for the Wildhide Drums and Potion of the Silent Zephyr, or if it’s simply an oversight. Either way, it might be a good idea to stock up on these items now to prepare for the first season of The War Within. At worst, if Blizzard makes changes through a hotfix, you might only lose 100 to 200 gold.
