More Information About The Mercenary System
Each mercenary in Diablo 4 has a unique role, backstory, personality, and skills. They have their own skill trees that focus on support, combat, or a mix of both. You can recruit mercenaries as reinforcements, and they will assist you regularly by attacking enemies.
- Raheir was trained by the Iron Wolves after growing up in the dangerous streets of Gea Kul.
- Varyana, once a cannibal, left her tribe when they turned to dark forces and now works as a butcher and mercenary.
- Aldkin, a half-child, half-demon, was born due to dark rituals performed on his mother by the First Khazra of the Citadel.
- Subo, once a mountain archer, is now a headhunter after being shunned by the people who once saw him as their savior.
- Mercenaries earn Rapport as they journey with you. The more Rapport you gain, the better the rewards and trade options you unlock. With higher Rapport, you can trade with your mercenaries and make deals for powerful loot and other valuable items.
Co-op Endgame: The Dark Citadel
- The Dark Citadel is a new co-op endgame experience in Diablo 4. It mixes multiplayer teamwork with intense dungeon combat and boss fights.
- You can enter the Dark Citadel with 2-4 players and face complex bosses that need teamwork and coordination. Players advance along different paths and can communicate using a new tagging system.
- Each week, completing the Dark Citadel rewards you with powerful loot and exclusive cosmetic items.
Lower Kurast
- The Lower Kurast is a new multi-stage time attack dungeon in Diablo 4. It is great for leveling up and farming late-game items.
- Players can use special keys called Spirit Tributes to influence the loot they receive. Completing challenges in the dungeon and defeating the new bosses in the Undercity can also improve the quality of the loot.
