The Cataclysm Pre-Patch is Now Live Δ
You’ve defeated the Lich King’s undead hordes and put an end to Arthas’ rule. But now, a new threat emerges as Deathwing, the Worldbreaker, emerges from the depths of the Maelstrom, wreaking havoc upon Azeroth. It’s time to rally your allies, ignite the flames of resistance, and forge a path toward a revitalized Azeroth. Join the fray and be a part of shaping the destiny of the world.
The Cataclysm Classic pre-patch marks the beginning of Azeroth’s fragmentation and the alteration of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms’ landscapes. This update brings various system changes, introduces new race and class combinations, and unveils the new Worgen and Goblin races. Additionally, players can dive into learning the new Archeology profession, enhance their equipment through Reforging, and explore other exciting features.

Players can now choose to play as Goblins and Worgen, adding diversity to the game’s character options.

Face Xal’atath in Dark Heart starting May 8th Δ
Embark on the thrilling conclusion of Dragonflight, setting the stage for the upcoming expansion, The War Within™. Engage in new quest lines, where you’ll confront formidable foes like Xal’atath in the Dark Heart starting May 8th. Earn prestigious heritage armor sets for draenei and trolls, personalize your Kul Tiras human character with one of six new hair colors, and unlock access to all Dragonflight quests for characters at maximum level, regardless of fame level.
Classic Armor for Draenei and Trolls Δ
Draenei and Troll characters have the opportunity to embark on new quest lines to obtain their heritage armor.
Draenei
Players with characters level 50 and above can initiate the quest “An Artificer’s Request” by visiting the magically sealed package located in Stormwind. This quest kicks off the Heritage Armor questline, rewarding players with the “Embaari of the Lost Embaari” and “Endurance of the Temple of Telhamat” ensembles. These ensembles include shoulders, back, chest, wrist, hands, waist, legs, feet, and two helmet options.
Trolls
Characters level 50 and above can undertake the quest “Return to the Echo Isles” by seeking out Zi’guma in Orgrimmar. Completing this quest allows players to finish the Heritage Armor questline and acquire the “Darkspear Pact” ensemble. This ensemble comprises the Rush’kah Mask, along with shoulder, back, chest, wrist, hands, waist, legs, and feet pieces.

The World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria event commences globally on May 16th at 3:00 pm GMT!
In May the Trading Post Is in Full Bloom Δ
The Trading Post* is buzzing with activity this month, offering a range of new goods. Engage in various activities to fill the bar at the top of the Travel Journal within the Adventure Guide (accessible via SHIFT + J)**, and you’ll earn this month’s bonus reward: the Wings of the Amber Monarch Butterfly (Transmogrification). Embrace the spirit of spring by adorning your back with these lovely wings.
To explore the latest offerings, visit T&W*** (Tawney and Wilder) located just outside the Mage’s Quarter in Stormwind, or head to the Zen’shiri Trading Post next to Grommash Keep in Orgrimmar. The Arena World Championship Returns on May 3rd Δ
The arena action heats up once again as Season 4 of the Arena World Championship (AWC) kicks off on May 3rd in Dragonflight 2024! Prepare for an adrenaline-fueled spectacle as the gates swing open, welcoming competitors to showcase their skills.
Starting from May 3rd, viewers can catch the intense battles unfold on Twitch during the last two cups of the season, and also on YouTube to witness the thrilling journey of the gladiators as they strive for victory.
In Season 4, the competition intensifies, offering only two paths for the top gladiators to claim victory. Participants will engage in fierce clashes during Cups 3 and 4, each match crucial as they vie for a coveted spot in the Dragonflight Grand Finals. Brace yourself for a series of epic showdowns filled with hand-to-hand combat, narrow escapes, and heart-pounding action.
