A popular suit in Starfield just got a surprising but fantastic update, thanks to a new mod. The Mantis armor is something players can get early in the game by finding a note on a dead Spacer mentioning a “Once in a lifetime opportunity” on Denebola 1-B. When players reach this moon, they discover “The Lair of the Mantis,” which seems to be Starfield’s version of the Batcave. It’s evident that the renowned pirate-hunter is akin to some kind of Space Batman.

Recently, a modder known as Godofcheese has transformed the Mantis suit into something mouthwatering with the Cheese Mantis suit mod. As the name suggests, this mod adds golden, yellow, and cheese textures to the suit, all crafted in Photoshop. Since the Mantis’ helmet sometimes resembles a wedge with its triangular appearance, this modification fits perfectly.
Cheese is Now a Growing Obsession Among Bethesda Gamers
Now Players Can Transform into Cheese in Starfield
The Bethesda gaming community has long held a fondness for cheese. While the Fallout games didn’t feature real cheese, except for Blam-o Mac n Cheese, which likely lacked actual cheese, the Elder Scrolls games were abundant with it. Players could fill locations entirely with cheese wheels, leading to suggestions to rename Skyrim’s Breezehome to “Cheesehome” or “Brie’s home.”
In 2023, YouTuber Dennios tested Skyrim’s limits by displaying 2,500 cheese wheels on screen simultaneously, rolling them down a mountainside without causing lag. Unfortunately, 2,500 was the maximum, as exceeding this amount would crash Skyrim.

In Starfield, cheese is a consumable item purchasable from various vendors for 49 credits. It’s used as an ingredient in several dishes or sandwiches. But why settle for consuming cheese when one can transform into it? This question prompted Godofcheese to provide a solution, despite making the formidable space vigilante seem less intimidating.
