A few days after its official unveiling, a leak has surfaced revealing the new Surface Laptop 6 with the Snapdragon X Elite processor. A specifications sheet provides details about the two models set to debut with this new Qualcomm chip, marking Microsoft’s full entry into the era of artificial intelligence.

The leak, published by techinamul on its X (Twitter) account, suggests that we will see two versions of the Surface Laptop 6 at the May event. According to the list of technical specifications, the tech giant will release laptops with 13-inch and 15-inch screens, with one of them offering a choice between two processor models.

Microsoft has reserved the top-notch processor for the 15-inch Surface Laptop 6. This variant will come with a 12-core 3.8 GHz CPU (4.2 GHz on 2 cores), up to 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of internal storage (removable SSD).

In terms of display, both the 13.5-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop 6 models will feature PixelSense touch panels. This Microsoft technology, also found in the Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro, employs a dense array of touch sensors to accurately detect multiple points of contact. The display is capable of recognizing a wide range of gestures and is optimized for the Surface Pen.

The Surface Laptop 6 will offer support for Dolby Vision IQ, a contrast ratio of 1300:1, and a maximum brightness of 400 nits (SDR). It will also include an anti-reflective coating and Gorilla Glass 5 protection against bumps and scratches.

In addition to the specifications sheet, another leak reveals that Dell is preparing a 14-inch Inspiron with a Snapdragon X Elite chip.
