According to journalist Mark Gurman, the special event to launch the iPhone 15 won’t feature iPads. He suggests that new iPad Air versions may only be announced in mid-October.

The Wonderlust event is set to take place next Tuesday (12th), marking the annual release of new iPhones and other products.

Gurman’s Insights on Apple’s iPads Strategy and Event Expectations

Mark Gurman believes that Apple will skip presenting iPads at the Wonderlust event to focus on the new iPhone releases and Apple Watch 9 updates. However, he mentions the possibility of new iPads arriving in October, with a new iPad Pro version expected in 2024.

Gurman thinks that an upgraded iPad Air is a strong contender for October but hasn’t provided further details. He anticipates that an updated model with improved specifications is on the verge of being officially announced.

Moreover, Gurman speculates that the new October models won’t have a dedicated event and may be introduced through a press release. He doubts Apple will hold another product presentation this year.

He believes that Apple may not attract as many attendees to the event as they did for the iPhone 15 launch. The absence of iPads from the year’s major presentation could disappoint Cupertino fans
