The Minisforum is expanding its portfolio of miniature computers with the launch of the Neptune HX77G, its new model designed with a focus on cost-effectiveness, bringing a CPU and dedicated graphics card signed by AMD, along with a form factor that ensures good airflow without taking up too much space on the desk.
The Neptune HX77G is equipped with a compact case that houses a dual ventilation system and liquid metal to dissipate the hardware’s heat. Under the hood, there’s a motherboard equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, boasting 8 cores of Zen 3+ architecture, 16 MB of L3 cache, a base clock of 3.2 GHz, and a boost clock of 4.75 GHz.
Paired with the CPU is a Radeon RX 6600M graphics card based on the RDNA 2 architecture, featuring 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM in 14 Gbps modules and a 128-bit interface, delivering a bandwidth of 224 GB/s. Originally designed for laptops, this graphics chip promises to be more energy-efficient.
The Neptune HX77G supports up to two DDR5 RAM modules in SODIMM slots, in addition to offering an M.2 2280 slot to house a PCIe 4.0 SSD. The mini PC can be purchased without these components or in versions starting from 32 GB of DDR5 RAM with 512 GB of SSD storage.
Speaking of connectivity, the device offers various USB-C ports — including USB 4 for video output up to 8K @ 60 Hz — and a 2.5G Ethernet port, along with two HDMI 2.1 outputs, a microphone port, and a P2-standard headphone port.
Other specifications include support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The Neptune HX77G will come out of the box running Windows 11 Pro.
The Neptune HX77G is already available in the United States through Minisforum’s official website. The version without RAM and SSD memory costs $639, while pre-assembled models start at $779 for the version with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 2280 SSD storage.
