After unveiling the new Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a titanium variant, and native HyperOS, Xiaomi’s CEO and founder, Lei Jun, took to social media to confirm when the Xiaomi HyperOS will be released for older brand smartphones.
According to the executive, the global HyperOS update will begin to roll out in the first quarter of 2024. This means there is an expectation that Xiaomi 13 and other phones will be updated, for instance, in January.
The release of the global version 1.0 update has been highly anticipated by users, as HyperOS has brought a range of features and visual changes.

According to sources within Xiaomi, the company’s intention is to update all major brand devices by March 2024. Subsequently, Xiaomi HyperOS will be made available for mid-range and older smartphones, such as the Mi 10 series.
As of now, Redmi and POCO have not announced their update schedules, but it’s very likely that these companies will also commence the release of Xiaomi HyperOS in the early months of 2024.
This is because a previously leaked list of eligible devices included various models from these companies. It’s worth noting that HyperOS not only offers a refreshed interface but also a set of AI-based features.
