Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its flagship Xiaomi 14 series (Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro). The CEO of the Chinese manufacturer, Lei Jun, confirmed that the phones will hit the market with the new HyperOS and Leica lenses.
Now, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have been listed on the benchmarking platform Geekbench with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed the release date for October 26th.
Two new Xiaomi devices have emerged in the Geekbench database with codes 23127PN0CC and 23116PN5BC. According to IMEI information, these serials belong to the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, respectively.
The benchmark listing confirms that the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will be announced this week at the Tech Summit, and 16 GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi 14 scored a 20% higher multi-core score than the Xiaomi 13. However, in single-core, the performance is nearly identical. In terms of the operating system, both will come with Android 14 out of the box. They will be the first phones from the Chinese manufacturer to feature the HyperOS interface, replacing MIUI.
Last week, the Xiaomi 14 passed through the regulatory authority 3C. The listing confirmed support for 90W fast charging, an upgrade from the 67W present in the Xiaomi 13.
In a post on Weibo, Xiaomi posted a teaser confirming that the Xiaomi 14 series will be officially unveiled in China on October 26th. The event will also detail the new HyperOS and its integration with the brand’s devices.
Various rumors have mentioned that in addition to the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, the series is also expected to introduce the 14 Ultra in the future. It is anticipated that all models will come with Leica lenses and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
