WhatsApp has released a new stable update for iOS, available on the App Store. The update has the build number 23.17.71 and contains two new features:
HD Photos
Users can now send higher-resolution photos by selecting the HD option in the drawing editor.
Screen Sharing in Video Calls
Users can now share their screens during a video call.
The HD Photo feature is a long-awaited feature that will allow users to send better-quality photos. Up to now, photos in WhatsApp have been compressed to reduce data consumption. With the new feature, users can now send photos with a resolution of up to 1080p.
To send HD photos, select a photo to send. Then tap the “Edit Image” icon and then tap the “HD” icon.
Video call screen sharing is a handy new feature that allows users to share their screen with others during a video call. This can be used for sharing presentations, documents or any other content.
To share your screen, start a video call and then tap the More icon. Then select “Share screen”.
