After the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion, CD Projekt RED needs to address other issues affecting the community’s experience. On the PS5, corrupted save data has been hindering players from progressing in the narrative. For this reason, the studio is preparing patch 2.01, which will be released ‘soon.’
The company has reported the key changes.
Here are the details:
- The distorted effects caused when selecting a specific dialogue option while conversing with Johnny at the end of ‘Automatic Love’ will no longer persist on the screen.
- V will no longer die in ‘The Heist’ when falling through the elevator going up to the 42nd floor with a low frame rate.
- Fixed an issue where the user interface could display controller commands when playing with a keyboard and mouse.
- It is now possible to properly switch to arm cyberware when interacting with weapons.
- ‘Gig: Breaking News’ will be triggered correctly when approaching the mission area.
- The vehicle radio volume will be adjusted to not be too low compared to other in-game sounds.
- Addressed the issue of corrupted saves on PlayStation by increasing the maximum save file size limit. Note: This will not fix saves corrupted prior to the update. If you are facing the issue, keep a functional save (e.g., manually save it again) until version 2.01 is released.
- Performance improvements for PC and consoles, especially in the Dogtown area.
These are just the main fixes in Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.01; in the future, the studio will provide more information about the update.
